Rocket Engineering and EuroFPL are proud to announce that pilots Chad Menne and Travis Holland have claimed a new world record for speed over a recognized course between Keflavik, Iceland and Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 22 in a JetPROP DLX. Travelling the 2,945 statute miles* in a total elapsed time of 13 hours, 33 minutes with an average speed of 217 mph* including three fuel stops, the pilots credited the climb and cruise performance of the DLX to making their record claim possible.

Travis Holland said, "The combination of the DLX aircraft performance and flight planning with EuroFPL enabled us to minimize time spent on the ground and climbing to altitude. With flight plans pre-filed in EuroFPL, ground times averaged just 30 minutes for the fuel and customs stops, and the time to climb was less than 18 minutes to FL270 on every flight, even loaded at maximum gross weight. No other aircraft in this class could come even close to this performance.
